LivinTheDream is one of the few full-service, year-round agencies that touches skiing and snowboarding, as
well as winter recreation, the general outdoor space, footwear watersports / marine, and the cycling worlds.
Established in 2001, LivinTheDream's goal is to be the ideal conduit for its brand-partners as they look to solidify and grow their retail presence and regional marketing. Michael Rosen's start in the industry is the physical and figurative embodiment of LivinTheDream. New York by blood, with mountains in his soul, Rosen left the Metro-New York area immediately after high school in order to earn a degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. In 1987, with diploma in hand, he traded paper for passion and began his outdoor sales career as an area rep for SPYDER Active Sports. His success with SPYDER led to him relocating to Northern California in the early 90's, where he was charged with growing the footprint of brands that included Hart, and Nordica. His success in Northern
California led to his team being assigned additional territory expansions that included Colorado, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest. In 1999, he planted permanent roots in Lake Tahoe, and established LivinTheDream as one of the premiere outside sales teams catering to the outdoor-lifestyle industries. In addition to leading LivinTheDream, Rosen serves on the K2 Sports rep advisory board for ski, snowboard, snowshoe, and backcountry accessory products, and for more than ten years has been a direct link between K2's president, marketing managers, product developers, and its external sales force. He also serves on the board of directors for the Shane McConkey Foundation.
More than just a "man with a van," Rosen is joined by a staff of five, spread throughout Tahoe, the Bay Area,
and soon California's Central Valley. LivinTheDream's resources also includes a dedicated event-marketing
staff and dealer communications team, helping to ensure that his both retail and brand-partners receive the level of support and service they deserve. The team has held buyer and managerial positions at some of
the best retailers in the industry, As a testament to LivinTheDream's dedication and experience, Rosen and
his team are often called upon by the top executives of his partner brands to gauge their thoughts on how
to proceed with new product launches and marketing.
John Lyons, Agency Partner
Account management, account acquisition and retailer service. Lyon's professional retail sporting good experience began in 1996. Prior to LivinTheDream, Lyons has worked with a cavalcade of independent retailers that matter, including Open Road Sport in cycling, Cope and McPhetres in the Marine space, as well as Porters, where he was the ski and snowboard sales supervisor for Tahoe's legendary Porter's Sports. In 2000 joining K2 Sports field marketing program for Northern California, and transitioning into a sales role in 2001 with the Livin The Dream agency.
Is an active participant in the Winter sport and Bicycle community in the Truckee Tahoe area.
Ryan Otterness, Sales Associate
Before LivinTheDream, Otterness was assistant manager at Vail Resort's high-profile Any Mountain retail location. A graduate of San Jose State University, he has been a mainstay of the Bay Area sporting goods retail scene since 2011.
Shannon Owens, Special Events
Sales and service need to go hand in hand in the outdoor industry, and many agency teams often forget the event-activation portion that is critical to the formula. Owens joined LivinTheDream with 20 years of experience in the event space, managing such high-profile consumer events as the Red Bull Flugtag, Red Bull Air Races, as well as playing a significant role with the ESPN X Games and the Ralves Banzi tour. Owen's experience in managing hectic and high-stress events makes him a major asset for LivinTheDream's demos, trade shows, and other special event activations.

Ryan Anderson, Keeper of Snowboarding Stoke
Anderson joined the Livin The dream agency in the fall of 2022. No one on earth brings as much excitement and happy energy to the sport. With the strong retail background, working with Vail Resorts, and Shoreline of Tahoe. Based out of South Lake Tahoe, riding as often as possible at every resort with in his reach, maintaining a traveling fleet of K2 snowboards to spread the stoke.
Kevin Finnen, Social Media And Support
LivinTheDream recognizes that its customers live online and off, and are being hit by more marketing
messages than ever before. Finnen primarily handles social media and digital marketing for the agency, ensuring that the right audiences are kept aware of the latest from LivinTheDream's brand partners.
Office support: There isn't a weak-link in the Livin The Dream chain. One area many sales agencies tend to
fall short is the critical back-end portion that makes sure I's are dotted and T's crossed. Office support was added in 2013, to ensure that dealer communication is clear, orders are on track, and general
administration needs dialed.
